FOSSASIA has a Code of Conduct with the aim to foster community activities and development. For specific events like the FOSSASIA PGDay we are also adding information to enable all participants to have a good experience and point of contact. The FOSSASIA PGDay CoC is based on the Fosdem CoC. We appreciate the work of the original authors!

FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone.

We do not tolerate harassment of FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including exhibition booths, talks and social events around FOSSASIA PGDay 2024. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 conference organizers.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, displaying sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including ejection from the conference with no refund. If you feel that you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a PGDay organizer immediately.

FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 volunteers will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or the police, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.

Thank you for your help in making FOSSASIA PGDay 2024 fun and enjoyable for everyone!

If the complaint is about an organizer or staff members of the event, you may contact a FOSSASIA organizer directly. As the FOSSASIA PGDay is participating in the PostgreSQL community we believe you may also receive support from the PostgreSQL community code of conduct committee if you prefer an outside organisation, in which case the conference organizers will commit to assisting the CoC committee to the best of their abilities.
